I’m going to let you in on a few secrets to becoming the most efficient and organized packer you’ve always dreamed of being. Keep reading to find out more!
Arguably, the most important part of your packing! Getting all of the pieces clothing you’ve chosen to bring situated in your bag can be like completing a puzzle. We all know the trick of rolling your clothes, but to take it to the next level, try using tools like packing pods to help you get your clothes organized and places perfectly in your bag. Most packing pods come in a set, allowing you to strategically separate your items, i.e., one for pants, one for shoes, one for tops—giving everything its own place in your suitcase, and helping you keep track of what you brought.
Another tactic for keeping clothes organized when going on a short trip is to choose clothing items of one color scheme. Having pieces that match in color will make the packing process easier, as well as simplify putting together outfits while on your trip.
These can be a tricky part of packing because of all the different consistencies of our toiletry items. There’s nothing worse than arriving in your hotel room after a long day of traveling, hoping to freshen up, only to find remnants of a toothpaste of facial cleanser explosion and a layer of sticky goo covering all of your belongings. This is a frequent occurrence during airplane travel, due to the changes in elevation and rough handling of your suitcase. To prevent this from happening, place more precariously packaged toiletries in a plastic sandwich bag or waterproof zipper pouch. Plastic sandwich bags are disposable and will keep your items separate, and these pouches are easy to clean in the case of a spill or break in packaging.
Additionally, instead of bringing an entire bottle of face moisturizer or lotion, purchasing some silicone liquid travel bottles will lower the risk of losing too much of your expensive beauty products.
