Tidy Spaces Approved Clothing Donation Centers
So you’ve cleaned out your space and made it more tidy and spacious. But what do you do with everything that you’ve taken out? Of course, things that are worn and unsalvageable should be recycled or thrown away. However, things that are still in good condition and are useful should be donated. There are so many places to donate to that sometimes it becomes hard to know where your belongings would do the most good. Here are a few of the places that we believe in and love to donate to (although not extensive):
Dress for Success.
This organization was made to help women achieve professional and economic success by offering a variety of professional apparel and also a community of support. Along with monetary donations, they also happily accept professional clothing and accessories. Look for your local Dress for Success branch.
Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities organization believes in supporting children with medical needs and their families. They provide places to stay when travel is necessary for medical needs, places of comfort directly in hospitals, provide mobile direct care to children, plus much more. They accept clothing and shoe donations of all sizes.
Donating to and helping our veterans is so important for so many reasons. Veterans deal with a variety of physical and psychological issues from serving so by supporting them with donations, it is a way to give back. There are many amazing places that you can donate to that help veterans both locally and nationally. The Vietnam Veterans of America and Paralyzed Veterans of America are a couple of our favorites.
Local homeless shelters.
Homeless shelters are always looking for clothing and household item donations. Most communities have a variety of homeless shelters that will gladly accept your donations. These donations go directly to individuals who are in need of them. A lot of people without housing are going through a difficult time and your donation can make a huge impact.
As a women-run business, we strongly believe in helping women who are in unhealthy situations. Women’s shelters support women who had to leave their homes for one reason or another. Look for local women’s shelters to donate to as they generally accept all types of clothing donations for both adults and children. They also accept other household, toiletry, and food donations.

Our homes have so much clutter that we don’t use but that can really make a difference in someone else’s life. By donating to places that support individuals and make the most out of donations, you can know that your items are going to people who truly need it. Next time you make a pile of clothing or household items to give away, take a little time to find out where the best place for your stuff is!
