Happy Holidays from the Tidy Spaces Team!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Your Christmas may look a bit different this year, but that shouldn’t stop you from spreading the holiday cheer. Here at Tidy Spaces, we are reminiscing on Christmases of the past, and we are here to share some of our favorite memories with all of you, our lovely readers. Keep reading for a bit of Christmas joy!
My favorite Christmas memory is….
“…my grandpa reading The Night Before Christmas to us and having my closest family with me all day on Christmas Day!” — Amanda
“when I was five, and I got my first puppy. My mom went to the airport at midnight Christmas Eve to pick her up, as my aunt lived out of town and flew the dog down to us from Maryland. My brother, sister, and I woke up to see her under the tree with a pile of poop. She was a great dog, Toto the schnauzer!” — Sandra
“…when I was six years old, I woke up at 5am on Christmas morning, most likely out of excitement. I poked my head down the stairs to see if the presents had arrived yet, and I swear I saw Santa—in the flesh— putting my family’s presents under the tree!” — Sydney
“…when I was 6 and I couldn’t go to sleep Christmas Eve because I was so excited knowing Santa was coming. We didn’t have a chimney, but my Dad assured me that Santa would pull up in the backyard and deliver my wishlist. Before I could close my eyes, I had to make sure the cookie plate and the glass of milk was ready next to the light so Santa couldn’t miss the landing place. As I slowly went to my room and jumped in bed, I giggled and then I woke up and ran downstairs. Sure enough Santa brought my 5 piece kitchen set with all the pots and pans I could want! My Dad was in the military for many years. Many of his deployments were 12-18 months. The best Christmas present ever was the day my sister and I walked home from school and he was waiting for us in the drive way! We ran so fast when we realized it was him and almost knocked him over. Santa was real good that year!” – Susan
“…when I was about 4 years old and I got a red fire truck that I could ride. My grandparents knew that I had always loved fire trucks so they thought it would be the perfect gift. It came with a firefighter coat and hat so I got the full experience. This is such a great memory because it wasn’t a gift I asked for, but my grandparents knew me well enough to surprise me with it on their own. It was such a special moment!” — Claudia
This year has been a reminder of how lucky we are to have friends and family to cherish and celebrate the holidays with. There is truly nothing better than spending this special time with the ones we love most. Whether you’re all together under one roof or video calling from miles apart, from the bottom of our hearts, the Tidy Spaces team wishes you a very merry Christmas!
